Sports massage is deep tissue massage that it is geared toward the sport(s) that the client is involved in. Certain injuries are more common in certain sports, these treatments will help to prevent them from occurring as well as rehabilitate current injuries.
FitInYYC believes that educating clients about potential future injuries is an important part of this treatment.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a firm massage that breaks up adhesions (knots) in the muscles. Most common reasons for a deep tissue massage are whiplash, sports injuries, headaches, carpal tunnel, tight neck/shoulders (sitting at computer), sore backs.
FitInYYC believes that deep tissue massage should be used as a preventative tool to help heal the body before a serious injury occurs! Prevention is much less painful that Rehab!
Relaxation massage is a gentle massage consisting of light massage techniques that allow the client to unwind, de-stress and enjoy a feel-good treatment. FitInYYC believes that everyone should enjoy a relaxation massage every now and again to regain some sanity in our stress filled lives!
Every massage is tailored to each individual client. Some like a combination of one or more types of massage incorporated into the same treatment. Here at FitInYYC, we pride ourselves on being able to provide this service.
